I'm not sure what arts in education is, but our district has alloted so much money for each school just for this purpose. This year it was a lot less than usual thanks to budget cuts. PTO has offered to pay $140 for each grade for field trips. Several teachers just got done with a cookie dough fundraiser to offset the rest of the cost. It seemed to go pretty well and I don't think it hurt PTO with our fundraising.
