once elections are over, when do you have to do instillation?

this is pretty funny to me as when i was elected pres. in january i was told to take over the rest of the meeting we were at. think that was a shocker - your not kidding. to compound it, i'm a kindergarten mom so i hadn't even been around last year to know how the rest of the year goes. anyhow we have made it through and next year the new officers will have six months to acquaint themselves with how things are done and take over in june when we develop the next years calendar.

We don't have an installation. Elections were held at last months meeting but only two positions were filled (including me as the new president.) Tonight is our planned year meeting for next year. People have stepped forward for the remaining positions so they will be voted in tonight. We'll wrap up this year (we still have a little bit of money to spend.) Then we'll map out next year.

We have a somehat unique group because we fundraise for the following year. We have over $50,000 in the bank to fund next year's programs.
Tonight's meeting is run by both this year's and next year's board together. There is no June meeting.

Our election is next week and the new officers take over July 1. Since you are a PTA, I would check the Bylaws. I think all PTA's should have them. Hope that helps. Good luck next year.

Our elections are tonight also. We just announce the winners and introduce them to the general meeting attendees. Our new year starts July 1 but we start preparing for next year, tomorrow. The new officers help make decisions for next year but we really don't have an "installation". We do have a chairpeople appreciation night in June and the new officers do attend. I hope that helps!

Hi guys, our elections are tonight, hopefully they will be civilized. Once we have held the elections, when do you have to do the installation? We are a PTA and don't really need to have our last meeting in june because we are only required to have 7 meetings. Can we wait until sept to do this? Or do we have to actually have a meeting in june? Just wondering. Thanks, maggie
