We give a gift card from Wal Mart for $25.00 for the teacher that has the most parents at the meetings and the teachers love it and we are helping our classrooms at the same time.
I was in the same spot just a week ago! I had no one to run for vice. No one would take it and then our soon to be treasure came up with an idea to call a roommom that has her last child going into kg. next year and asked her. She said that she never thought about it before but would love to take on the job. She was voted in and has been calling me almost every day with all kinds of ideas and organized a raffle for Easter. Don't you just love it!!
I need some help here, I'm the PTA President right now in my first year of my second term (we can serve two terms that are two yrs each). Our Vice-President passed away in September and we're getting ready to vote on a Vice-President and Treasurer for next year. We're all set with the Treasurer but I can't find anyone willing to run for VP. Everyone uses the excuse that they don't have the time...they have children and work full-time...and on and on. It must be ok for me to be President, have two children and work full-time.
We have about 60 paid members and only 4 or 5 active members. I'm talking about only maybe 1 or 2 parents showing up for our meetings and usually no teachers. I would love to get a teacher in this position but no one is going for it.
What can I do???? Help, please... (Sorry for going on and on but it's been a bad day).
