Volunteer Appreciation

We have done many things in my 3 years in the PTO. We give gifts at the end of the year to people who have volunteered at least 3 times during the year. Granted theres usually only a handful. We have given $5 blockbuster cards, keyring/pens with the words "volunteer" on them, last year was the cutest though. We had little tin pails with the words "volunteers plant kindness" on them with dirt and wildflower seeds in a little bag inside. Although to be honest, the thing I cherished the most was a thank you note from my son's class. It had a poem that made me cry and all the first graders signed their names. (I can send you a copy of the poem if you would like). I hope that this helps you a little bit!! Good Luck!

I would like to do something nice at the April PTA meeting for the volunteers. We are blessed with alot of wonderful, dedicated volunteers and I would like to show appreciation. Does anyone have any suggestions? Does anyone have a good idea on something little that could be purchased? I am game for thoughts of wisdom.
