Scooby- funny story, that's how I WAS ELECTED Prez this last year! Everyone....EVERYONE was fed up with the Prez's &^%$# and stunts she pulled (with he husband defending her all the way!) and I simply stayed the person I am (quiet and helpful) and here I am! You would be amazed at the people that come out- I WAS!

In the event- dare we think this way- she....I can't even think it!! we'll be here for you!

It's amazing how the truth comes out and things happen!

Hey Scooby: Let your talents and personality shine through!! You know you are not the only one feeling this way, and I predict you will get the support you need!! Stay clear of the gossip, and state your goals/ideas to the parents you know and ask them to spread the word, they will. Make it about the children, everyone's children. Good Luck, hang in there....

Hi Guys!! I know every one is probably getting tired of hearing me complain about our PTO. But I am sssssoooooooo confused now. I have been the Secretary for 2 years now. In my first year, the PTO president was just wonderful. Well it was her turn to retire.(We are only allowed to hold office for 2 years.) I was asked to run for president for this year, but declined.(STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!)They found one person who would take the nomination and she has turned this PTO upside down. I have parents complaining left and right to me, but I have only gotten one person to talk to the principal. I was told by her and her treasurer, whom I have had even more complaints about, that they will not run next year so they don't care who's feeling they hurt. I was going to run and have people ready to nominate me, but at this months PTO meeting they decided to run anyhow because they have nothing better to do. How should I handle this situation?? They are very controlling and well.....scary. I have put up with their @#!# for 6 months now, they treat me like a dog, but I figure I should just grin and bear it to be president next year. I want to run but I'm not sure if I will have enough parents who care to even return their ballots, let alone care who they voted for. I know the ones who have complained are going to vote for me and there are a few teachers, but........ Am I just being stupid?? Any help or self-confidence boosters you all have would be wonderful!
