Our group started something a few years ago: the week the kids go back to school the board gets together for dinner to celebrate our accomplishments to date and to revisit what we have planned for the rest of the year. We find it's a nice way to do some festive after the holiday kookiness but also regroup. Last year with the economy the way it was (is?) we changed up our approach and added more low budget community events and decided on focusing on our auction as our main fundraiser.
