You can do this yourself. You can get information on applying from the IRS. You will have to have approved by laws and I know that in Oregon, we have to be incorporated by the state - I don't know the rules on any other state.
Just take your time and work through it. Allow plenty of time for the IRS to make its decision once you submit - don't expect a quick answer.
