I am president of our PTO which is a 501c3. A parent came to me requesting sponsorship in having an outside business come to our school and teach spanish twice a week after school hours. The principal and BOE has approved this. Parents would pay for these classes. Why would they be requesting sponsorship from the PTO? Is there a benefit that I am unaware of?
