Election Form Needed - Help!

17 years 4 months ago #128781 by my3strongtikes
We don't get a lot of turn out either for our PTO meetings either elections or not.
We do the same send out a flier announcing elections and how important it is to be involved in the school. On the bottom we have a cuttoff with the positions available, their name, phone # and they circle what they are interested in. Also on the back we have a list of the positions and basic list of duties so they have and idea. (This has seemed to help out in letting the parents know of what is expected of them)

Then we send out an annoucement of who is running and when the elections will be held at our meeting.

I am resigning after 3 years and am at a loss. I need a flier to help get parents to our meetings. No-one shows, if they do it is our friends, the usuals. If parents don't come to meetings, which is where you learn all the behind the scenes stuff, then how do you get parents to fill open office positions? I have faith but need help. Any suggestions, and advise, any fliers?

Ours are pretty informal. Just a half sheet with the position title and space for name and number for confirmation of nomination. We include the date that the nominations are due and when the election will take place. They go home backpack.

The election flyer goes home with the date and information on who's running for what position. These also go home backpack.

The ballots are just names and positions. Circle the one you choose. These are only available at the election site.

I'm a new President this year and I do not want to continue next year as President. I'm in need of an election form. We have not had an election in my school that past three years, so we have no form to use. Can anyone help and send me a sample? Thank you! Karen
