How do you spend your fundraising money?

our fundraising money gets spent on differnt things--we do make sure the students get to go on field trips, we have purchased math and reading books, math calculators, computers, amplification systems, weekly readers, classroom supplies, inside recess carts full of games, many differnt things
We do a teacher appreciation week and usually spend under $500.00(we do little things and breakfast and lunch for them). We do grant teacher requests if brought to us--but for the most part our fundraiser money is spent on the students or things to benefit the students.

Most of all our money goes to family fun nights, guessing contests, school store (this is a coupon system -no money), things like that. We do not charge for any of our events and we bascially have a family night every month. We do spend less than 1000.00 on staff appreciation week!

Our PTO seems to want to spend 90% of the money we raise on the teachers. I feel if it were not for the students and the parents there would be no money for anyone. So therefore we need to atleast spend it 50/50. Somethings PTO has promised the student/parents were not carried through with. How do you handle this with your PTO.
