We use our display(we have a case now instead of a bulletin board) to announce winners of our incentive programs(PTO attendance, Reading Program, etc.), advertise any upcoming events, post pictures from events, announce results of fundraisers, promote the group, and we even have our budget posted so people see where the money goes. In previous year's we also did a volunteer of the month.

Office supply stores and education supply stores have tons of cute borders and other stuff for bulletin boards, and if your school has a die cut machine you can make decorations for it. Make sure you have a small budget amount for the project and ask teachers if you can borrow their bulletin board decorations. Bet you can find some creative person to take this project on if you ask around!

We had a bulletin board fanatic (so u dont have 2 do as much as her) at my duahgters former school (we just moved)

They did Character Counts(with its Montlhy theme), PTA/School Events (Back 2 school anything, fall bookfair, enrichment classes, winter music prog, McTeach nite, Baja Fresh nite, Open House(s), Arts, Spring book fair, monthly award assemblies, Books and Beyond Leisure reading program, libraryexpansion project...

She had tons and tons of pix, minutes from School Site/ School Mgmt comittees, PTA and just little fun decorations for season (not that California has distinct seasons), holiday or event that I missed.

I've seen some people do volunteer of the week/month on theirs, Program spotlight, extracirricular activities (ie Drill Team, Basketball and Soccer teams), Sponsors

Okay - I need some creative juices flowing. I can come up with Multi Cultural Events, Ideas for Fall Festivals, Auctions, etc., but my principal just gave me a Bulletin Board, and I have no clue what to put on it, how to decorate it or how often I should change it. ANY SUGGESTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :confused:
