American Idol is like the one show that I have to watch faithfully, my husband hates it unless they are showing the really bad people and then he sits there and laugh! For the record I very seldom listen to music but I like watching what unfolds each week, I dont watch any other reality shows.

Thats cool, I guess I really dont understand the hoopla and I really meant the Reality TV side (ie Survivor, Gotti, Big Brother, etc..) I have a few friends that watch Nashville Star as a family. I wouldn't purposely knock something that was worth watching as a family..

Shawn...I am not a reality tv junkie, but I do love American Idol. Don't knock it till you try it...lol there is a reason it is always the most watched program of the year. One of the best things about it is that it is a show that everyone in the family can enjoy which is more than can be said for most programming on tv today.
It is watched by seniors as well as children and it is one of the few shows that families are sitting down and watching together. I had three generations of family members in my house tonight eating dinner and watching the finals. My husband actually left work earlier then normal to be home to watch it with all of us. So the good side of it is that it is something that everyone can and is enjoying together.

Is it just me???

I dont understand the whole American Idol or Reality TV thing ... DO that many people really like that garbage?

Is it okay to Tivo Yanks vs. Sox while watching Idol OR should they Tivo Yanks vs Sox and watch Idol.....

I told 'em they should Tivo Barney and take the kids out for ice cream.... LOSERS (can I say that) :eek:
