Choosing Chairperson

As far as chair people for our events it usually comes down to who wants to do it, we often do co-chairs. If we get people signed up this year for next year then we also try to get a new parent to feel out chairing the event as well...sort of like training. If you get a willing person that you feel isn't capable get another to help, or try to give the difficult person another job. yOu could say "hey ethel I know you chaired that event but have you consider helping us with this project..." good luck

How are your chairpersons chosen for the next school year? Previously they just showed up at our election meeting and signed up for what they wanted and if someone didnt sign up were left looking afterwards.
I would like to send out a flyer out before elections asking whose interested and whats available. Also maybe start asking a certain person who might fit that event etc. What do you think. What do you think?
This is my first year as pres and I plan on running again. Last year we had one person show up and sign up for a couple things and she was just awful at organizing and working with people and I don't want a repeat.
