Insurance

Dawn,

Liability is the most popular insurance, but a close 2nd is a fidelity bond policy. This policy covers you if anyone in your group embezzles funds. You can read some good info about insurance on the AIM website FAQs Insurance information .

I would also ask to see a copy of the school's policy to make sure you are covered. It is not unusual for parent groups to think they are covered and then find out later the coverage is very limited.

Good luck

I have seen a few posts that discuss this but I am unsure the need. I approached our a while back and was told that anything held on school grounds was covered by the school's insurance. He checked this with the School Board to make sure before he got back to me. So, other than liability in the event of injury, what is the purpose of having insurance on a PTO?
