President stressed out-how to help?

My president is new and so am I. I was past VP at old school. She knows the routine at this school and is easy going and nice, but she has been doing alot of things by herself at school.
First we decided what programs, sat and wrote a budget, revised bylaws. I am currently working on a veterans day program so she doesn't have to.
Anything we are doing eg. setting up for PTO meetings, agendas, helping with volunteers I am trying to assist her with , thus my job title. We are committed to making a strong PTO and to involve as many parents as possible to benefit our kids. I give her ideas that have worked for at my old school, boxtops etc and back her up. I want her presidency to be best, as it is a direct reflection on our group, and we want parents and teachers know they can count on us.

I agree with all the above, but I would add one thing. Offer to take on a specific task and then FOLLOW THROUGH with it. That's the biggest stressor for me, someone drops the ball and it always comes rolling back to me.

Some people like to be stressed.

Don't just offer to help in general(well, you can but they may never ask), be specific about what task you can do. If you walk up to me and say I can help whenever you need me, I may struggle to find the time to call you and give intructions on a project, but if you walk up to me and say I can make the copies of the school spirit wear order form and fill the orders as they come in, I guarantee you I will put the project right into your hands. Probably hug you too!

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

Go along with everything they say. LOL Just kidding. As a president myself, I would say just offer to help. That alone can speak volumes.

Being a president my self, they have to realize to let others take control. Until then, you can try to force them to, but good luck!
