Ours are $5 and our members get a "free" student directory. Basically, paying the dues guarantees that the PTO member will receive a directory as we charge $5 for non-PTO members who wish to purchase one if we have any left over.

I also have a membership sign-up form if you would like a copy. Just email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., and put membership form in the subject line.

happy to say that there is no charge here! I never could quite understand the charging to families at our school. I know alot of schools do it for voting rights, etc...it has never been a option for us and Im sure we would make a few hundred bucks easily but not sure what message we would be sending after four years with no dues. But then we keep everything free to our families..it gets tough at times but we make it happen

Ours is $1.00. I wanted to raise it to $2 because we are such a small school but was told that was too much. Last year it was .50 at the pre-K a few years ago it was .50 and when I was at the elementary my board and I changed it from .50 to $1.00.

This year we've raised it to $2.50 per person, not including children. We couldn't come to a conclusion about what constituded as a "family."

I really like the idea of having discounts at area businesses. I'm going to see if we can't do that.
