what do yo do when an pto member resigns then keeps trying to run things?

Are you sure she wasn't asked to attend the meeting by the President and other board members and that maybe you are the problem? Make sure you have your facts straight!

Can you explain how she is trying to run things? I don't think you have given enough information to give an educated response.

Our last President resigned and then scheduled an event for our school at an offsite location without getting the Principal's approval or informing anyone. Sometimes you just have to play defense and try to pick up the pieces.

:D :D change your meeting location and don't anoounce it until the last minute... ;) WHAT???

This is a tough one and really tough when you really just want the parent to....go away...

a couple suggestions...not sure what to suggest since every situation is so different. We had a mom a couple years ago that just made you feel like anything you did would NEVER be as successful or ever go as good as OR you are just a new Mom here and can't possibly know how to talk to the Pricipal (that was MY hurdle).

Thinking about it, there was a great article in the PTO Today magazine that talked about this topic....Iwonder if there is somethign in the archives.

What do you do when a member of pto resigns and then keeps trying to run things even when the current people in the pto are satisfied with everything?
