call backs

Be strong!! It sounds to me like the changes are causing a bit of resistance, and you're the one left to deal with it all. Thank the 2 that call you back, and when you see the ones who don't - well, just smile, and say, "Hey, I've been trying to reach you for days!" Then just act like it wasn't any big deal that they ignored you, because it is my experience that if you let them hurt your feelings, you're giving them exactly what they want. And other people who might be afraid to step forward right now will see your professional attitude and thank you for not playing power games with them.

I don't like to rely completely on e-mails b/c many people say they do not get them and the response I usually get is "Oh I saw you sent an e-mail but I haven't gotten to check it yet".

We don't call each other but send emails. I have a PTO list and when I want everyone to know something, I send an email. Our school is also a computer magnet so that might be my inspiration!

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Am I the only one who does not get call backs? I just have to vent a bit. Out of about 10 people I called today, 2 returned my messages. This has been happening all year. My executive board is pretty bad. I don't get my e-mails returned or phone messages. How do you all deal with it? It would not bother me so much except the other board members are talking to eachother so I wonder why they can't call me. We are facing some real changes coming up and I am trying to give my exec board an opportunity to get involved but they are non responsive to me. I leave messages but do not hold my breath. I want to make plans for the upcoming year and when no one calls me to give me any input(even if it was that they hated my ideas) I have to go ahead and plan with out them. I am not stopping trying to contact them but hey I want to get our stuff together. Thanks for letting me vent a bit
