I can only imagine the stress you are under. Belonging to a group that service so many students is a huge task and I tip my hat to you!

You are so right--one parent group for each school will benefit the schools so much more, and relieve your group's stres and pressure.

I say keep pushing for individual PTOs!

This is very interesting and I please keep us posted on your progress!

WOW!! We serve as PTO the elementary school and the middle school--i could not even imagine having to do stuff for that many schools!! In the school district we were in before every school had their own PTO-- there were like 4 elementary schools, a 5th and 6th grade building and then a 7th and 8th grade building and then high school. Our school district is small now 440 elementary students and 360 middle school students, 320 high school students--so its not really that hard to keep up with both--we attempted to get into high school but they have alot of organizations there to help them out already(as put by the principal) Band boosters , FFA boosters and all. I think with that many students and schools as you all have more then 1 PTO would make more sense--and be way less stressful!! Just my opinion.

Our school district has only one PTO that services two large elementary schools (900 students each) and a 5th & 6th Grade School (850 students) and one middle school (900 students)
This system worked when this was a much smaller community but we are now a small group of volunteers who are running ragged. Having been a parent in other districts I'm aware that we are unique with the one PTO but I'm having a hard time convincing others that individual school PTO's would ultimately be more productive and sucessful. Need some advice
