This is strange...

Metzy, As I'm sitting here trying to catch up on the posts, I didn't like the fact that the Principal wanted to talk to you about some concerns.Warning signals are going off in my head. I was just thinking "bend over girl and grab your ankles because you're about to get *ucked". Then I read about what happened and my heart was bleeding for you!

What strength you showed by not b*tch slapping that witch! Which, by the way Michelle, your 4 muscle statement is priceless!!! If I had been there I'd be in jail by now.

Count your lucky stars that you have such a great husband, some very loyal friends & a great staff at the school! After what you've been through this past year, to have all of these people rally around you just goes to prove that there is hope out there for the rest of us! Goodness does pay off in the end. And for some of us it takes a really long time to prove that.Right Kma!!

Now for the important question, what shade of blue did you pick? and how did you get an office? I'm lucky to have a filing cabinet downstairs near the bathroom! You must be a really, really good person! Not unlike myself, I'm a good person at heart but, boy would I like to be around when the *itch gets her just rewards! Can't work with you, and you hand picked her? Come on admit it, before you picked her you were hanging around page two a little too much.

All kidding aside, I'm very happy things worked out for you! The kids, faculty and your family are all very lucky to have you in their lives!

Metzy--

I'm sitting here shaking my head. I know every story has two sides, but I just can't believe the other side in this case would hold any water. It was decided the secretary would trade positions with you?! What the Hell is THAT all about? Was your VP there for any of this--even if she wasn't your best friend I could imagine she'd have something to say about that! Despite your kind words, the treasurer and secretary sound like real pieces of work  .

I am INCREDIBLY happy (and jealous!) that people stood up for you :D -- especially the principal. I can only imagine how touched you must be by that--it's not too often these days that people will bother. Especially in a school setting--it's a very small arena and too often people are afraid to rock the boat. At first I was freaking when you said you resigned--you've worked so hard and devoted so much to what you do with your children's school--I was positively furious that a couple of people with issues would try so hard to push you out. I was tempted to find out where you live and go down there to kick some ass! People never cease to amaze me. I am so happy that though the story isn't exactly a "happy" ending--it IS more than one in that you found so many people who love and respect you.

I had to laugh when you said "glory grabber." We're having a Tricky Tray soon, and one of the Moms asked for and got us a donation from a local business. She mentioned her husband wanted to know how she was going to be recognized for the donation--so one of the chairs of the committee tried to set her straight by explaining that she only asked for and picked up the donation--the business was the one getting the credit. She pretended to make light of it, and said she was sure we'd find a way to get her mentioned. This wasn't a one time comment--she brought it up a couple of times after that, especially if we were praising someone who really worked to get us a great donation (hers, while appreciated, is an OK one). As we were wrapping baskets tonight, myself and the two chairs had a good laugh about it--if that's all it takes to get recognition for a "donation," the three of us are some very generous people! And the two chairs got some GREAT ones that make everything else pale in insignificance!! The three of us plus the VP and fundraising chair have actually donated so much to the event that we felt uncomfortable at the thought of getting our names mentioned so much in the program, so we were having a ball "making up" names for donors. It's a trivia lover's paradise to look at our list of donors that aren't corporates! I was surprised at the woman asking for the credit--she didn't seem like the type to be like that. The worst is that she's INSISTING the donation is worth about 3X what we're seeing it to be--we're wondering what she's going to say when she sees the level it's been assigned to. I said we should REALLY bust her chops and offer it as a door prize! ;)

Metz--after all this agita I hope you get some good nights' sleep--you really deserve it!

Yep, that was me... old whistle blower metzymom...lol... Even one of the two officers who wanted me to resign, said that she could never have done what I did over the summer ~ discovering the embezzlement, reporting it, sorting through the bank statements and collecting information, writing bylaws, incorporation papers, planning and executing a school-wide fundraiser (I did have help executing the fundraiser from 2 very wonderful friends who I have not thanked nearly enough), planned and put into action a program where volunteers would be utilized by teachers, staff, and our group... I never thought about jealousy, I just thought about the 'high school-ness' of it all... and the hurt it has caused... the hurt it was meant to cause in this case... but it's over now. Friday morning I will walk into the school with my best friend (the current president of our group for as long as the group lasts) and do what I have done everyday for the last 5 years: volunteer work. I'm very lucky indeed to have the friends I do have (and that includes you all), the support of the teachers and staff at our school, and the time to volunteer all day. Today, my husband will go down to the school (even though it's closed) and paint the PTO office, just as we planned to do before the coo...

I have always known that no one has to look bad for me to look good. I'd like to think that maybe the gals who led the coo will someday learn that lesson...

Metzy- Aren't you the one who blew the theiving treasurer out of the water, probably saved your school thousands and got recognition for it? Sounds like you had a jealous board. I hate it that is ended that way. I for one appreciate ALL the hard work you have done for your children's school.

I think I'd like to flex my 4 muscles at them for making you cry! But happy to see that the others around you saw the wonderful person and volunteer that you are.
You know...you could start a PTA if you wanted to! :D
