we are a pto that is in its 2nd year. Last year we were told that the process to apply for non profit status is too long and cost $500.00. Does anyone know if this is true?
A few companies have asked us for a non profit form in order for them to make donations. We are a new school and don't have excess money at this point, I am not sure if it would be worth it if it really costs that much.
