Corporate Sponsors for Auction

We had a dynamic duo in charge of our auction last year. They started "Table Sponsors" for the first time last year and made alot of money doing it that way. This event is a casual fun dinner/dance with a band and they had big round tables of 8 or 10. There were, I think , maybe two levels of sponsorship for the Patron Tables and they were very pricey BUT with the Patron Table you got some tickets to the event. So, let's say the event tickets are $100 each. If you were a Gold Level Table Sponsor for $1500 you got 8 tickets and a big reserved table with your name on it. Most of these table sponsors were the parents of current students (or their businesses). Then, on top of table sponsors, we had different levels of sponsors, who were listed on the invitation, along with catchy names. There may have been a $500 sponsor level, a $250 and a $100. Those names were printed on the invitation, too. These chairmen shook money out of everyone!

Good luck with yours!

For those of you who hold silent/live auctions do any of you ask business to be corporate sponsors?

Do you have different levels of sponsorship?
What does a sponsorship get for the business -0 tickets, advertising, etc?

We would like to do this for our auction this year, but are unsure of the best way to go about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
