We tried something new with our carnival this year-we used coupons for the food. This was only available with the advanced sale packages we had. We just made a coupon up for each item. Ex. This coupon good for one hotdog with chips, this coupon good for one drink, etc. From previous years we knew about how much all the food would cost so we knew how much to charge in order to make a profit. You could do something like that with your wristbands: when they buy the wristband, give them coupons for the food. You could even offer two options that way-one price with food/one without food.
Our school has had a winter carnival for the past 2 years. The first year we did hot dogs, chips and orange drink from McDonalds. This year we did the $5 pizzas from Little Ceasers. The hot dogs require a lot of help. With the pizzas, too many were ordered, but we only needed a couple of people to dish it up.
Our school doesn't charge for events. If you go with pizza and charge $1.50 a slice you could gross $12.00 a pizza, that you only paid $5 for, $7 profit.
I am seriously thinking about bringing up a mini-carnival/fun fair at our next meeting as a fundraiser. After reading through the archives, wristbands seem like the way to go. [img]smile.gif[/img] I would love to include the price of food in the wristband, but how can we make money? Those of you who have done this before, how do you limit the amount of food one person might take...What types of food did you serves...Suggestions???
