Depends on what camera, software and PC you have

THe Camera to docked printer to PC have that capability as do some iMacs (not familiar with at all)

As posted above Camera to USB to PC with software should work but remember it also depends on speed of PC (if too slow or not enough RAM) it would be faster to swap cards, view and crop and print

Without any specifics- its kinda hard to give anything but generalizations

I use either a Canon Eos Elan II (10.MGP)and/or 20D (20MGP) connected to PC /and or Laptop via USB and use Adobe Photoshop CS2 to edit and print (HP All-in-one) -- this setup is quite pricey though

I am not sure what's wrong with your current method. We did that for the first time (digital souvenir photos printed by us) at our dance last year, and switching out cards worked great.

A faster option: have a direct USB connection to the printer. The camera would have to have the cropping capabilities. You'd then need 2 cameras to keep everything moving, though, if it was crowded.

If you really want to get a PC involved and you need software, The GIMP is the best open source software for art. It does a lot more than you need it to, though, so there might be free photo cropping software out there somewhere (maybe what came with the camera?) that is more suited to what you want to do.

If you don't expect too much from me, you might not be let down. <img src=images/smilies/smile.gif>

We are looking for some software that we can capture pictures from a camera, frame them up on the screen, then print them to our photo printer. I don't want to have to copy them from the camera, I want to "snag" the photos, frame them, print them. Saving is okay, but not required....

I have seen people do stuff like this at carnivals, etc. I want to be able to speed up this process at special events. Currently we have to take a few photos, remove the memory card, print the pictures and put another memory card in the camera to continue taking photos.
