Phoneraiser?

I was wondering the same thing, if anyone has done one of these before and how it went. I have found several companies and the links are as follows:

www.cartridgesforkids.com/ and their phone list:
www.cartridgesforkids.com/pricesframe.html

Which empty cartridges and used cell phones have value?
All cartridges and cell phones listed on our web page at www.cartridgesforkids.com have value. If you have one or two cartridges or phones that you are not sure about, go ahead and send them. If you have more than two and you are not sure if they have value, please call us. Remember, prices vary and are subject to change. Prices for cartridges and cell phones are based on supply and demand.

www.thinkgreen.com/ and their phone list:
www.thinkgreen.com/rebate_listing/tg_cel...elisting_cancurr.pdf

Remember, only cell phones that are not damaged qualify for rebate; however Greentec will still take the cell phones that are damaged and make sure that they are recycled appropriately.

www.ecophones.com/ and their current list:
www.ecophones.com/clientuploads/ecophone...a8d3f189e9c66756219d

Is it true that EcoPhones pays for EVERY phone no matter what?
Yes, EcoPhones pays for EVERY phone - up to $200 per phone - regardless of whether or not the phone(s) work and regardless of whether or not the phone(s) are on our price list. That is, you earn cash for every cell phone you collect including broken phones and phones not on our list. More than 500+ cell phone models have been sold since the advent of cellular technology. Consequently, it is virtually impossible to maintain a comprehensive list of every cell phone. Therefore, our price list includes many of the more common phones and therefore assists organizations in determining which program pays the best overall prices. Prices on our list reflect working phones only. Working phones are phones that power up, possess an undamaged LCD screen, make a test call and are not cracked or otherwise damaged. Non-Working phone models that appear on our price list will be credited 20% of the corresponding working phone price. Working and non-working phones not included on our price list will be credited at competitive prices.

How does the PhoneRaiserâ„¢ program compare to other recycling fundraisers?
For starters PhoneRaiserâ„¢ is EASY and PhoneRaiserâ„¢ pays the highest prices for used cell phones, up to $200 per phone! In addition, PhoneRaiserâ„¢ accepts more makes and models of cell phones than any other program. In fact, even phones sent to us that our not on our current cell phone purchase list may be eligible for payment. Moreover, PhoneRaiserâ„¢ is easy. Lastly, PhoneRaiserâ„¢ and its employees are proud of its outstanding environmental commitment and recognized achievements.

It's hard to tell which one is worth the time. This is just add'l info that was added from their websites. If anyone has ever done a "phone"raiser, please let me know too.

Out of curiosity I just checked it out...you can see what they pay per phone by clicking here
128.121.78.254/phoneraiser/clientuploads/PDF_Docs/pricelist.pdf

The vast majority of the phones will earn you anywhere between $1 - $4. There is only one phone they pay $200 and a couple that the pay $100, $75, $50, & $25 for. Odds are probably very good that you will never see one of these phones and will mainly collect all the ones that pay between $1 - $4.

This doesn't mean that you can't earn money at it. Just don't believe for a second that you are going to be paid $200 per phone. These collection programs are great because you make money for nothing. If it is something you want to do, just look at all the different companies and compare them to find the one that overall pays the most.

I just read about the "Phoneraiser" fundraiser (their link is on this website). Has anyone participated in this and how did it work out? They claim to pay "up to" $200. per phone. Is this one of those things...if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is? Let me know about your experience. Thanks!
