Happy to report, this Fall Harvest went over wonderful! We did better than the open house did.
Kids and parents all enjoyed themselves.

thanks for the suggestions, we are using the gym for basketball shootout and limbo in the other section. I think the principle is frowing upon dancing at this time ?? I and the President would like to charge for raffles (25 cents ea); but the treasurer thinks that is "tacky". There has to be a way to make funds for the school..Seems like the treasurer really doesn't want the PTO to be more involved..We did ask her if she wanted OUT, but she still wants to be in the PTO? We are really at our wits end. We (meaning the president and I) will do the harvest then we will have to "regroup" the officers. Thank you for your help!

You have a room for dancing. You didn't mention if you would be charging for any of the games. Have the kids go in for 15 or 20 minutes. Then put a small clock those plastic ones and post when the next session will start. Decorate the room with lights/fog machine. Have a DJ (high school student) or a another teacher. I hope this helps.

We are holding a fall harvest for grades 5-8 next week and I am in need of fun EASY ideas to do, we are just beginning our PTO, I am the Vice President and this would be our first intro to our meeting and then all to have fun at face painting, shooting hoops, doing the limbo, "painting cookies" some raffles. What else can I do for the kids in these grade levels? Suggestions welcomed! I need to do all of the shopping for this hall harvest..
