Our PTO is trying to start up a PTO at the intermediate school in our community and we need to know the rule governing PTO funds, banking accounts, etc. Our principal wants us to use school funds and pay-outs but we were told that we had to be a separate entity with our own accounts and funds. Please let me know what you can so we can get this right. We are in New Mexico.
