Our Athletic Department does a lottery fundraiser every May. They sell tickets for $10.00 and every day except Sunday the winners are picked according to what the 3 digit lottery number was for that night (obviously in our state) They give away 3 prizes of cash per night $100.00 for the person who has that number and 25.00 each for the person who is 1 number up and 1 number down (ex: 345 that person would win $100.00 and 344 and 346 would win $25.00 each). They also picked a night, usually Wednesdays and the number that is drawn taht night that person would win $500.00 and the other ones would still be $25.00. If for some reason you do not sell all 1000 tickets and their isn't a winner, then you just draw a number randomly out of the numbers that you do have. The numbers up and down are still in effect only for the original number. this can make you a profit of about $10000.00 or more if you can manage it. I know some schools that have sold their tickets for more money and paid out more and made more money. Just depends on your area. OMG! That would be great if you could! Do you make them yourselves? I guess that is where I am confused. Where do they come from and who decides the amounts and the numbers?
We did one last year that was cash and gift certificates but we found that we limited our selling audience due to the g.c. being for local businesses and Grandparents who lived far away didn't by. This year we're doing all cash. I could send you a copy of ours if you'd like.
