Scrapbook Fundraiser?

If you are going to do monthly crops, I would ask the CM ladies to sign up, and have one a month. Send out a mass email to them all, and say signs ups for particular dates are on a first come, first served basis.

I would also get Stampin Up! people, too and do it the same way.

As part of the sales reps entrance fee, I would ask for a donation of at least a $25 value, a small flat fee for the day for the space ( which helps pay for your food) and a small percentage of their sales to you..

I was actually considering holding monthly crops.
Does anyone do this?

But wow, $30 to provide breakfast, lunch, dinner AND prizes! Please do tell who will be donating this!

My only concern is that I know that we have quite a few creative memories consultants as parents - do we let them all sell their stuff & ask for a percentage to be donated to us? We certainly can't alienate anyone.

yes, ACMOORE is like Michaels. The difference is ( at least around here) is that ACMOORE has a lot of staff on the floor to help answer questions, and they like to give back to the community. The Michaels in our area has a crabby old manager who doesn't donate A THING.... and there is NEVER anyone on the floor to help.. of course all this could be a function of district managers, or whether these stores are " company" or franchisee owned....

I know when I brought it up, some of the PTC didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about. They couldn't believe people will pay to scrapbook for 12 hours.

Hopefully we are going to get our space for free and then I can proceed to get donations and such.

Right now we are thinking $30-35 per person for 12 hours of crop time, including a light breakfast, lunch, dinner, beverages, snacks, goody bags and lots of prizes for raffles.

I am hoping to get most of the food donated too!

I have never heard of ACMOORE though, it is like Michaels? We have a few specialty scrapbook stores around here that I plan to ask for some help!

We are actually considering this. I have a friend who owns a small Scrapbook store and this past summer, she helped ONE girl do a crop for a school trip, and she earned $1500 in 10 hours.

Here's how ONE CHILD earned $1500. She sold tickets to the crop $30, I think which included one raffle ticket, a goody bag, free coffee all day, a good snack, candy, and a hearty lunch ( but inexpensive) She had 35 seats, and sold all of them, and then sold extra raffle tickets, and pulled prizes every hour. She did it in her church, where the rental fee was minimal, and they had access to a kitchen

The scrapbook store set up a sales booth, for the day, and sold miscellany all day, and gave her 10% of the profit. The sales reps who sell to the scrapping store DONATED all of the raffle prizes.. ( they want their product out there).

So, all in allnot bad for a fairly easy set up. If I did it at school, I would offer all the same, but lower the entrance fee, as we have MUCH more space in our cafeteria than they did at the church. I would then advertise it with all the local scrapping stores and the Creative Memories and Stampin UP reps ( who could also have a booth, or give raffle prizes) and also try to get a grand prize from ACMOORE like a $100 gift card... and have a separate raffle for it!

People who don't scrap or stamp have NO CLUE what a huge business it is. But, all they have to do is go to ACMOORE or Michaels and see all the aisles of this product!

Has anyone done a Scrapbook Fundraiser? Such as a 12 hour crop? I am trying to put on together and convince our PTC, but I am the new kid on the block with a PTC President that doesn't scrapbook.

Did you make a decent profit? Would you do it again?
