We did the same thing. We placed our first order with National Scrip on 8/6 and it is still not complete! Mailed paper work in to GL Scrip on Friday, placed my order on Tuesday and it was filled and received on Thursday. I feel bad for National Scrip but to keep our parents in the routine we had to change over. Its a great program and I hated to cancel it. We can't turn down free money from parents normal purchases!!

We started having quite a few problems with NSC (NATIONAL SCRIP CENTER)in August. Backorders, on most everything ordered, their explanation at the time was that they were reviewing contracts with the merchants. We cancelled with NSC their unreliability would cause our parents to loose faith in a very difficult program to run. Found GLS (GREAT LAKES SCRIP CENTER), they are GREAT, rare to have a backorder, quick shippers, and they answer their phones without being put on hold for 15 minutes. Shipping is less expensive and they use UPS (which for us has proven to be more reliable than Fedex-GLS emails you the tracking link so you can see exactly where your scrips are). Give them a try, I am sure you will be pleased.
We had A LOT of problems with NSC. We just switched to Great Lakes and the chairperson said it's been fantastic. No problems whatsoever. KW - It's not too late to set up your program and get those Christmas orders! That's where you'll make most of your profits. You just need to win the trust back of your parents...
We recently cancelled our Scrip program due to unresponsiveness from the company. They had difficulty filling the last two orders, and never even took our funds for our final order. Apparantly, they are having problems. We're waiting to see if they come out of it for the Christmas order.
