Yes, each child would do their own, but it would be part of a whole. The auction would be for a set of 12 garden stones. Thanks for your advice....very helpful
I think it's a cute idea but I'm a bit confused: at our school, each CLASS does an art project, not each individual child. Are you having each child make one?
We always found that our art projects were much more sought-after from the lower grades (K3, K4, K5, 1st, 2nd) than the upper grades 3rd-8th. Parents LOVE those projects that have personal touches. One cute thing we did one year was a mirror. The chairman bought it at Target, already painted white. We had the children dip their little fingertips in paint and we'd use about 3 or 4 fingertip dots perchild in the shape of a caterpillar. We then got an artistic mom to add on to the fingerprints things such as a bug face, bug feet, wings, etc. Then, we added a sweet verse about children(we used Bible verses about children, too) onto the mirror. It went for a few hundred dollars right off the bat.
Hi, I am trying to figure out a classroom project for our Annual Fall auction. What do you think of this idea, do you think it would bring in much money?
I was thinking of making garden stones with a Theme of Footsteps in Faith. Each 3rd grader (there is only 12) would each have their own stone to work with and would place their foot in the clay and then decorate with stones and beads and whatever else. Do you think it would bring much money in? Or is the idea.... a so so idea?
Would appreciate any advice. This is a small christian school.
