Our elementary schools participate in the Mathematics Pentathalon (mathpentath.org). The inter-school competition in spring is the culmination of several weeks during which the students are taught 5 different strategy/math games by parent volunteers. Not every student choses to go to the competition, but they all learn the games in school. The kids who do go to competition face off in all 5 games. Ribbons and medals are awarded and every kid is recognized. It may be too late to get started for this year's season, but you may want to look into it for the future.

I would like to get information on any academic contests, challenges,etc. for our school to particpate in. Does anyone have some sites or information that would help out?
