ScottsMom- We have several local companies that could help. Sunflower Marketing is one that we have used in the past. Our shirts only cost us $5. They have many other things as well. There are several T-shirt shops around here. Embroiderys Plus is in North Topeka, and there is one on Fairlawn by the skating rink, but I don't remember their name. We also have a coach at Chase who can get us anything we want. Let me know if you want the contacts!

We go to a local print shop and they give us a great deals and lots of ideas. We pre-sell all of our Spirit wear and buy our Spirit items in bulk to have on hand. If something is not selling we take if off the order form and try to sell what we have on hand. Our latest and greatest idea was to sell our on hand stock at the Homecoming football game. It was a successful night of profit of over $300. We also had a spirit night a few days before the football game. It was a great success also. We had fabric painting. The kids loved it and wore their clothing to the game.

We operate a school store and sell many spirit items along with novelty items. There are tons of catalogs out there that sell school spirit items at reasonable prices. Sometimes you may have to buy large quantities, but the items will last forever.

We operate a ROAR store for the middle school and sell spirit items along with novelty items... (furry pencils, key chains,t-shirts etc.. ) They tend to buy the school items since they are mixed in with the novelty items.. We sell $150 a day (with 30- 50% price increase for profit!)

Our PTO sells tshirts for kids and staff to wear on Spirit Day but we have talked about doing a Spirit Table with keychains and water bottles and stuff but in the past this stuff hasn't sold very well and usually has to be purchased in large quantities. Does your school sell spirit items? If so, where do you get the best deals at?

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
