Sounds like the old insurance question that keeps coming up. First, I would ask for confirmation not just a "not sure".
If your PTO doesn't have it's own insurance and are covered under the school district's policy, it most likely only covers the events held on the school grounds. Start asking questions--fast!
We voted to have a classic car show to replace one of our fundraisers last year. The event is supposed to be taking place at a Walmart. This event is happening Nov 2 and I just got an email from our PTO pres saying that now they aren't sure if we can host an event off campus for liability reasons. Could this be true?? I can't get ahold of her but we have brochures made and everything. Contributors are counting on the event being held there. What a mess if we can't hold it there. Well I just thought someone might have run into this before. THanx :confused:
