I always have asked when a student comes to my door selling something I don't want or if there's a fundraiser I can't afford or can't participate in if I can make a donation. Everyone of them has said basically that I have to participate in what they are offering or don't bother doing anything. (I doubt that would have pleased the organizers, but...)
Does anyone add instructions for that situation when they do a fundraiser? Now that I'm in the know, I realize that they would have wanted my money any way they could get it and would take checks, thank you very much.
For those of us on a diet when the candy sale starts or have 10 rolls of wrapping paper from after Christmas sales, it would be nice if the sweet 10 yr old (with mom waiting on the step, of course) had a flyer giving instructions for donations.
