Oh yeah, you could also go around to resturaunts and ask for certifs and such. You could have enough that a family could eat out for a long time!

These are some of the bigger items we give away for attendance/academic prizes in Jan. and May.

Bicycles
T.V.s
VCR/DVD (I bought a ticket a few days ago for a combo t.v/dvd)
Trampolines
Game Boys
Kareokes
Swimming Pools (in the spring)
Basket Ball goals
Computers (refurbished and donated by a teacher's husband)
Large stuffed animals
Those are just give aways. I am sure they would do well with raffles too.

Have you tried theme baskets? We did an auction for ours for the first time last year along with our cake/prize walk. I have had people to tell me they like doing those for their Christmas shopping. I think raffles with baskets would do as good around here. I know there are some posts about that on here but I've not read those yet.

I just wanted to post what I hope to raffle at our fall carnival. Maybe people could add some good items in case these fall through.

snow blower- we're trying to find it at cost or donated

game basket- we'll ask for donations

shopping spree - again, we'll ask for donations of gift certificates to local stores. I think this one will do very well.
