In February every year we hold a Mother & Daughter Night around Valentine's Day. Over the years we've had a fashion show, talent night, craft & game night but our most successful night is the bingo night. We are packed!! We serve dinner the first 1/2 hour/45 minutes(hot dogs/chips/pop or pizza). This allows cleanup to happen while we start bingo. We play bingo for the last hour or so (door prizes are left over bingo prizes). We always invite parents to "adopt" a girl for the evening if they know the parent works or mom isn't there.

What are the ages of the little darlings? [img]smile.gif[/img] (sorry I couldn't resist after reading your message!) Would a craft night with games be an option? Allow the students to make cards, picture frames, keychains etc (sounds like your group would need a grow-up there too or kits that don't give room for too much creativity- hint hint!) I hate to tell you not to invite a DJ so you at least have some music but maybe you could make it know a tap on the should will not only be your ticket to leave the dance area but you can stay and clean up! And who knows if you do something like this those little gals may not even come because they heard it was going to be lame! lol

I WANT OUR SCHOOL TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT THIS YEAR FOR VALENTINES DAY. WE USUSALLY HAVE A DANCE, BUT OUR FALL DANCES WERE A DISASTER. WE HAD SO MANY KIDS (GIRLS) THAT WERE DANCING PROVOCATIVELY, WE HAD SOME PARENTS COMPLAIN. THEY WERE TOLD BY MYSELF AND THE PRICIPAL TO STOP, BUT ONLY TEMP RESULT. BESIDES THIS I WOULD LIKE SOMETHING NEW AND FRESH. ANY IDEAS WOULD BE GREAT
