Great Lakes Scrip is GREAT! We've been using them for three years, with NO problems. They keep their website totally updated with low stock notices too. They are friendly and go the extra mile. I recommend them.
Bumping this up because my Girl Scout troop is starting to get involved with Great Lakes Scrip. Anyone have any current feedback about them? All the old messages seem to indicate that experiences have been positive. Thanks!
Hi! I am the coordinator of our scrip program. I have never had a problem with Great Lakes Scrip. During the holidays I the week before Christmas they ran into some backorder issues. They did say their volume was higher this year so that probably contributed to it. They put out a holiday schedule after Thanksgiving (I think), with expected shipped times so you can plan your ordering around that.
I find them very easy to use and very friendly staff. This year there were 9 of one card from one vendor that were backordered on my last order from Christmas, I called asked them to cancel them and credit our account, they did that with no problem, I went to directly to the retailer and bought the # of cards in the denomination that was needed. Of course on those 9 cards we didn't profit anything. I felt it was a service I wanted to do for the families.
While I am not directly involved in our scrip program, I do occasionally talk to our chairperson. She switched to Great Lakes from another scrip company and has been very pleased with their response time. I know that we had plenty of scrips on hand during the holidays and to my knowledge, we had no difficulties. Hope that helps.
We are thinking of switching to Great Lakes Scrip. I was hoping to get some feedback from people who have used them.
1. Are orders received ontime and complete?
2. During the holidays are there lots of backorders and are they able to still ship orders out on time?
Any feedback good or bad would be appreciated. We are currently with a company that was very bad this past holiday. We ended up going out and buying $1000 worth of cards to fill orders due to backorders from the company. We would like to avoid that next year.
