I am in central Wisconsin and we have at least three different companies that do this, Kwik Trip (gas station), Kemp's and Land 'O Lakes. I am not sure on the specifics, but I believe our treasurer collects them when they are sent in to the school, sends them back to the company twice a year and they send us a check. It's not a huge amount of money as we get just $.05 a piece, but between the three companies we manage about $900 a year.
