I really like the idea of having the kids send them to favorite teachers. The kids could even send them to teachers that they've had in the past and really liked.

For Christmas Cards ask families for their old cards cut off the message part and use the picture part and on the back side print a message using a label. Then punch a hole and tie w/curling ribbon. Thought this would save money on buying cards. You could probably purchase candy canes regular size at a good price. Or check with a store that if you buy so many if they would give you a discount.

Excellent Idea to have the parents purchase these for the children.
I am still trying to get this program approved, I dont know if it will make it in time for Halloween, but hopefully in time for Christmas.

And the idea at Christmas would be to purchase the Multi boxes of inexpensive cards at WalMart/Target etc and put the message inside with a candy cane on the envelope. We are a veeeeeery small private school, so anything over the purchase of cards(2.50 per box of 50) and candy canes would be all profit for the school.

I think that is a good idea--how about parents' buying these grams and having a PTO volunteer deliver to the children.

We are currently doing a similar thing for United Way. For each flower, there is an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper as follows:

Send ________(quantity) flower(s) to _______(name)
Building_________ Dept/Room # _________

Your personalized Note:_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____________________ From:______________________________

Hope this helps...
