I need ideas

Our HS students were trained as crossing guards and teachers pay "them" $5 to take their crossing guard time mainly after school. Now the kids really stay on the school's grounds and mainly help kids get through the parking lot.

Our kids also sponsor a "Dress Down Day" for the entire school. For $1 kids py before Friday, they don't have to wear their uniform on Friday. They also did this as a Crazy Hair Day, $1 to wear your hair in a crazy way (they did have help with some quidelines from the Dean). This was easy cash ($1500 a Friday and they did one a month for 7-8 months)

I would also check what businesses will sponsor a car wash or even advertising in a program if the kids have one for prom.

Have you heard of SCRIP? Go on their website and look at it. It allows you to make money off of your parents normal purchases. We didn't sign up the first year we started since a nationwide chain grocery store in our city allowed us to purchase from them direct. Hope this helps!

We hold a dessert auction to raise funds for our Washington DC trip. The students who plan to attend work with a local baker or Mom to make a fancy dessert, they actually make 2 of the same dessert, one for tasting samples and one to auction off. We charge $5 per person to attend, this price includes samples of the desserts and coffee or juice. We then auction off the desserts and a few items donated by the community. It is a huge success everyyear.

You could hold a change drive with a theme. If you have a theme about anti-drugs or drinking. Or just a posiive theme. You could call it something like "KHS Students-Together we can 'change' the World".

You could also have something that offers pledges. You could have a community service contest.

Our high schools SGA held a .25 vote for a pie in the face for the teacher with the most votes.

You could have a recycle day. Find someone with some trucks or trailors and have students, staff, and community to bring in recyclables.

I'm not sure where your located but you could have a Fishing or Golf Tournament.

I don't know if this counts as a products but your Woodworking or Welding class could make something to raffle off, or you may have a parent with a business to donate some furniture or something large to generate money.

Last spring our high school PTO had former UK players to come and play against our local t.v. station. (They do this often) Also you could have Parents against Teachers sports contest. (But only if they can act like adults) We used to have Jrs. vs Srs. games just for fun but you could probably sell tickets for those. You could make it an Olympic type event.

There's a few starters. Good luck!

My school desperately needs to raise money for prom in order for it to be a success. We already hold a Pageant, in which 10 contestants (5 males, 5 females) compete to earn the title of Mr and Ms KHS. Any other suggestions on fundraising EVENTS (no products) that we can participate in? Thanks in advance!
