When do you book your Fall fundraiser

Since it is usually benificial to book a fall fundraiser up to 1 year in advance, we do it right after we finish ours in October. I think there are some things that will always affect the next group that they can't do anything about. My thought is I don't want to risk someone coming in who has never done a fundraiser and doesn't have time to do any research before it needs to get started. I have always considered making things easier for the next group, the legacy of the current group. Also, if they aren't happy with the fundraiser, they get to choose for next year.

Can you tell me more about your Halloween Carnival? Is it all centered around Halloween? Are you a public or private school? We are finding that everyone around here (5) schools in a 5 mile radius are doing their carnival within the same month. I was thinking of asking about switching our fundraisers. How do you get yours coordinated in time? Thanks for all your input!

For us, the fall fundraiser is actually run by the school. We hold the annual Halloween Carnival as our first big fundraiser.

But I do know that as soon as the fundraiser is over, our school secretary schedules that dates with the company for the following year.

I can't believe it is February and I am thinking about the fall...We are in the middle of planning our school carnival (which is on March 4) and I am thinking about our Fall Fundraiser. I just wanted to know when everyone books their fall fundraiser company? We were offered 2% savings if we book before the end of February. The only probablem is that we are not having a meeting until March. I can send letter in the board and teacher representative mailboxes asking if they liked the company and if they wanted to go with them; however, I our new board takes over at the end of our April Meeting. We have a new President and Treasurer term to fill. Should this be something that a new board should help decide or should the old board make the decision for them?

Just curious to see when others make their decision.
