Hi last year I was in charge of our annual staff appreciation lunch. I used the budgeted money (about $40) to buy really nice paper plates/napkins,gourmet breads, ice tea & lemonade. Then I had parents bring salads & desserts. This was the 4th year in a row that we did "salads". Parents did not bring regular salads they brought meal/salads, like chineese chicken, mexican 7 layer salad, pasta salads... I mean there was a lot of food!! I decorated nice & we had it in the school garden, I even brought in a big white tent (like ones used at a wedding reception). So even though it was cheap it turned out nice! The teachers really loved the mix of different salads there was something for everyone!! And I had no problem getting parents to volunteer to bring food(although I can not get them to commit to much more) Good Luck!!
