At our school we only have to pay a custodian if the principal will not be attending.as long as he is there supervising the function and you have people to help clean up you may be alright. It's worth checking into.

Whats this pay the custodians? We have never had an auction but have had other events.
We just get people who help run the activity to also help clean up. You would be surprised who will help you just have to ask.

Hi guys, we are planning to have are very first auction in oct 2002. We are trying to figure out where to have it. Do we have it at school and pay the custodians and it's not really fancy, or do we try and have it somewhere else? (ie: a hotel). What have you guys done? thanks, maggie
