There is a new way to fundraise by inspiring
memories of joy and laughter, especially in the
children. Your PTO gets their own fundraising
website with over 200 original themed Perfect
Party Packs, their own message board, goal board
calendar of events and community links.
Check it out,it is the one fundraising event
that all you have to do is get people to visit
your site.Every child has a birthday and every
adult loves to celebrate festive occassions

Why is there a NO fundraising policy? Is it because the parents pay the tution already and they do not wish to contribute more?

Could the "education" be tartged at Parents and/or Kids?

We used to do the shopping night also, as a fundraiser. It was a lot of work, not all the vendors fulfilled their end (we required a small booth fee & a donation to raffle of, many didn't donate), and in the end only really pulled in a few hundred dollars. A lot of parents would get upset because they also sold those products and just felt like we were asking them to shop their instead of with friends/family/consultants they had been using. It was such a hassle that it was decided to not use it this year. I've been getting many nasty phone calls from vendors about it too--like being rude to me is going to change it this year. I just politely tell them we'll review it again next year and in the mean time, would they like to place an ad in our newsletter to promote their business.

I hope it goes better for you. It probably will since it isn't a fundraiser.

Our school has a policy that doesn't allow us to fundraise through 'traditional' means (ie.wrapping paper, cookie dough) ~ we are a private school that stresses to families that we do limited fundraising and limited donation requests. HOWEVER, we DO need to raise some funds or we can't put together the programs we want. The director says (backed by the board) that we need to do fundraising that in some way, shape or form relates to education, which means we need to get creative here.

Our first fundraiser this year (oh yeah, and we are limited to three per year) is going to be a sale of personalized children's books.

HELP - I NEED other ideas to present for approval.

Thanks!

We are having a woman's night out. We are having massage, reiki, paraffin for your hands, representatives from Partylite (candles),Mary Kay, Avon, Jafra, Home Interiors, Comforts of Home, Pampered Chef, Simply Tasteful, Creative Memories, a local chocolatier, and a local bookstore. We are going to have them set up in stations. Some of the businesses have found other businesses to be part of the night for us because they thought it was a great way to get their name out and make possible holiday sales.

This is an invitation to a stress free night. It is the first time we are doing this and we are not charging the businesses to be a part of this. Most of the businesses have offered to donate a percentage of any sales that night and have offered gift certificates or items to the event. Many of these businesses have sponsored us for events in the past so it is kind of nice for them to be able to really show there stuff and possibly get business from it. It will also show us if their is interest with the parents to do a fundraiser with any of the businesses. The moms will also get a chance to be around other moms without the kids and without being in a meeting. They can just enjoy each others company. The event takes place on the 15th. I will let you know how it goes.

JHB, I'm sorry if I can across as feeling slighted. I did take it that way at all. I call our Ronald McDonald house today to find out way only the tab. They told me its because its a purer metal the what the can is made of. None of it amkes sense to me but if thats all they want then thats what we'll send them. No hard feelings.

Our principal has a thing about sending cash to charities. He feels the kids learn more when they bring in different items. We do different drives throughout the year. One friday your child may be asked to bring in a canned food(it goes to the local food pantry) the next friday a baby item(they go to a shelter for battered women & children),the soda tabs, etc.

Our principal feels anyone can write a check, but he wants the kids to turn into hands-on kind of people. It's just his way of thinking and doing.
