Our Little League teamed up with the March of Dimes and hosted a softball tournament for adults. We had an oversized ball and it was lots of fun. We split the profit 50/50 with the March of Dimes. Most companies like that love any donation they can get. Contact a few local chapters and see what they say.
Our PTO had an idea of organizing a walk or ride or something of the like as a fundraiser but giving a percentage (50% maybe) to a cancer fund. We could take suggested charity causes from parents to get a topic close to home. My question is, will an organization get involved for 50% or is it an all or nothing deal? We are a school of 500 with 6 other elementary schools in the district that we would ask to participate so the donation could be sizable. We like the idea of giving our 50% to a good cause instead of to a fundrasing company.
