Need ideas for spending PTO funds

Last year we bought the teachers an oversize laminator, which they requested. Also, like you, enclyclopedias. And lots of books for the library.

This year we are making sure all of the classrooms have the materials (Montessori) they need in one area, specifically Geography, so we are spending a lot on globes, puzzle maps, flags, biomes.

We are chipping in some money with the school's money to upgrade the auditorium sound system, which is awful. Also bought some child-sized furniture for the school library.

Our school is getting certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a Schoolyard Habitat, so a lot of the fundraising this year is going to the plantings, putting in a pond, building a boardwalk out into the Habitat area for viewing, all the landscape design involved in that.

We spend $700-$1000 each year bringing in a performer for the kids. This year we had a folk artist do a concert for the school, preceded by a songwriting workshop for the oldest kids.

I need some really great ideas for spending our funds. We have about $7000 extra and need to find a way to SPEND. We have fixed up the playgrounds and purchased encyclopedias. Any other ideas?
