Our high school did something like this a few years ago. They had a card with 15-20 businesses on it. Sold the card for $20.00 each. As you went to the businesses and used your discount they would pop a hole with a hole puncher thru their ad. The school made a ton of money and the local businesses were happy as well.

This week I attended my first ever county wide PTO Board meeting. We are in a rural area 13 scools total. It was a blast!!!!

Here's one idea we came up with --
Each of the schools have been visiting local business to get them to do a discount on a card (seperate from pto card) The cards sell for $6 they have discounts on both sides. Huge response from community. Instead of doing this individually, we are now asking if they would be willing to share this discount with all local schools. Restraunts love this idea because there is only one person to deal with.
We then pull our lists together & the individual PTO decides who we want on the card. We then print multiple cards business card style, copy, laminate & cut.
This is pure profit (except paper cost) and it uses recources we already have.
Much better, I think than paying a middle man who may have coupons/discounts for businesses outside our county. I like to spend my $$ locally!
