I try an include the following information in my donation letters:
The date of the event
The goal for funds to be raised
Did we do this event last year? How much did we raise?
What we are raising money for - specific programs, materials, etc.
What we are asking for
The date we need donations received by
How I will promote their company (newsletter, website, etc.)
When I will be calling to follow-up
When I will send a tax receipt/thank you
My email, website, fax and all other contact numbers
