I am in Fresno and we use the IceCream Warehouse. However our local Producers will do the same thing. We did not go with them only because the ice cream is a bit more. With the IceCream warehouse we can sell generic.

I am all about donations and you may just have to ask them but I was able to find a few links to companies that provide food carts.

This link is to a whole bunch of companies that make ice cream, from California to England. www.cgl.uwaterloo.ca/~smann/IceCream/l-business.html

I can't help you with any companies that do this but I had a situation like yours where I couldn't remember the name of the group the PTO had used in the past. After looking through our records I still couldn't find it (apparently they decided not to write up any records for a few years)I ended up calling all the schools around me that were not long distance calls to see if any of them had used a program like I was trying to find and got lucky...one of the schools used the same group. If you've got no ideas left maybe give the other schools a call...its worth the time.

Q about selling ICE CREAM was created by catsaway
The Student Council wants to sell ice cream on Fridays and they've asked our PEP Club to advance the money to buy an ice cream cart (freezer) and a supply of ice cream.

The thing is, five years ago at another school (in another town) we sold ice cream and we had an arrangement with the supplier that they provided the cart for free as long as we sold a certain amount of ice cream per month (which was no problem - we sold that much in about a day). They would also come and re-stock the cart weekly, so that we didn't have to go out and buy/transport the ice cream. It was very convenient.

My question? Well, I can't remember the name of that supplier! I don't even know if they still exist, but I'm sure there are other companies that offer this kind of arrangement. I've tried everything I can think of to search on the Internet and I'm not finding anything. Has anyone ever heard of this and have any suggestions on how to find a supplier??

I'm in Southern California so local info would be helpful, but any lead would be great!

Thanks in advance,

Cynthia
